It's time once again for the annual Smiley Celebrates! This year the occasion will be a very exciting evening at Smiley. A gallery walk through the main areas of the first floor will display fine art produced by students, as well as other current student work. A host of musical treats will showcase our young musicians as they grace our halls led by Mr. Russ Kopperud. The new Smiley Choir, which meets on Thursdays after school and is directed by Connie Hong, will begin the concert portion of the program in our auditorium at 5:55. This will be followed by the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands. Then our awards ceremony will begin. The event is set for Thursday, May 21, 2009 from 5:30 – 7:30 P.M. Please join us to recognize Smiley students and celebrate their artistic creations, awards, accomplishments in academics and sports, and community contributions.
