DPS to Launch Innovative Teacher Residency Program

Denver, CO- Denver Public Schools (DPS) will hold a press conference on Friday, February 6th at 12:30 p.m. at 900 Grant Street to launch an innovative, hands-on teacher preparation program designed to cultivate and support exceptional teachers in high-needs subject areas and schools within DPS.
The new program, modeled after a medical residency and developed in partnership with the University of Denver Morgridge College of Education, is a critical step toward the district's commitment to attract, retain and reward outstanding teachers.
