SEC, FINRA Leaders to Teach Students Ways To Save Money

Senior officials at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) will be visiting Lincoln Elementary School on Friday at 10:30 a.m. to help students learn more about ways to save money and spend money wisely.
The visit is one of 18 taking place at schools across the country on Friday as part of a new financial literacy initiative called Project C.H.A.N.G.E. aimed at elementary school students.
Financial literacy among students has fallen to its lowest level ever … 73.9 percent of high school seniors failed the most recent Jump$tart Coalition survey testing their basic financial knowledge.
